WIIS Italy, in collaboration with Diplo21 (Associazione diplomatici italiani) and the Casa Internazionale delle Donne, organized the event “Women for Human Rights”.
During the meeting, has been underlined that women are, all over the world, strongly commited for the achievement of basic human rights.
“Women for Human Rights” was also an opportunity to listen to the story of Vera Jarach (Italian-Argentinian journalist and writer, member of the “Madres de Plaza de Mayo”). Ms. Jarach dedicated her life to the pursuit of justice and truth.
At the event has also participated: Benedetto Della Vedova (Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs), Flavia Lattanzi (Professor of International Law, already judge of TPIR and TPIY), and Lia Quartapelle (Capogruppo PD per la Commissione Esteri e Affari Comunitari della Camera dei Deputati).
