On Saint Brigid day, one of Ireland’s three patron saints, Embassies of Ireland around the world mark the day by celebrating the creativity of women, and important contributions made by women in all walks of life.
This year the Embassy of Ireland in Rome, in collaboration with WIIS Italy is hosting a panel discussion on:
“Women, Peace and Security: from Policy to Practice”
The event will be held virtually on February 2, 2021. The working language will be English.
It will see the participation of the Ambassador of Ireland Colm Ó Floinn, Maureen O’Brien, first Irish woman to achieve the rank of Brigadier General in the Defence Forces, and Irene Fellin, president of WIIS Italy.
