On Friday 11, 2022 in Dubai, within the context of Expo 2021-2022 the event “Facing International Challenges: Women as key actors” took place. The Conference was organised by WIIS Italy and Aspen Institute Italia, in collaboration with the Italian Expo Pavilion.
Together with international and Italian panelisrs we discussed how gender equality must not only be considered as a guiding principle but new paradigms need to be developed in the field of foreign relations, international cooperation and humanitarian assistant. These paradigms need to have a gender-sensitive approach, encompasses diverse perspectives and rebalances power dynamics and the way to do politics so as to reach common goals.
